Happy 2018! So many people out there are already at a good start to their new years' resolutions. Creating this blog was one of mine, so here goes nothing!
My first post will be about my main squeeze Murphy. When it comes to dogs, anyone I know can tell you that I'm THAT girl who's obsessed with her dog. I'm a mom...dog mom, that is. That makes Murphy my fur baby (duh). He will be 3 in March, and boy is he a special member to our family! Ever since receiving my Canon Rebel Ts6 as a gift, I've counted on Murphy to volunteered as my model, which only continues to spark my desire to learn more about my hobby of photography.
Late last night it rained in Omaha, which was followed by snow this morning. Because of the treacherous ice-covered roads, we got a snow day! This obviously meant that I got to stay home with Murphy! He was so excited. Seriously---he was wagging his stubby tail once he realized I wasn't getting ready to leave.
Aside from cuddling with me on the couch watching Netflix, Murph spent part of his morning watching the snow sprinkle down. I swiftly (but nimbly) peeled myself off the couch to go get my camera. I am trying to decide if he's watching for entertainment or if he is partly pouting. You see, when it rains or snows, I close his doggy door so that he can't go in and out freely. I know, I know...I'm such a mean mom. Below are my photos both color an black and white. I can't decide which I like better---what do you think?
Rewind 2 years, and our snow day was filled with a LOT more snow! My camera was also very new to me---maybe even just a couple days old! On that particular snow day, Murphy convinced me to get bundled up to go outside and play with him. Like usual, he agreed to be my model. I just love the snow detail around his snout!
Well, that's it for today! Stay warm, friends! And stay tuned for more puppy love in the near future! Don't forgot to comment which photo from today you liked best: black or white? :)
